St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process of conversion whereby adults become full participating members of the Catholic Church through the sacraments of initiation. RCIA intends to instruct catechumenates both spiritually as well as intellectually. RCIA is for:

  • Those who have not been baptized or were baptized in other faith traditions and now feel called to become Catholic.
  • Adults or children older than 7 who were baptized Catholic but never received First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation.
  • Fully initiated Catholics seeking deeper catechetical knowledge of their Catholic Faith.
  • Anyone at all looking to learn more about Christianity

This year, RCIA will be combined with St. Patrick's Catholic Church. RCIA sessions occur every Tuesday evening at 7PM in the Cathedral school library beginning September 14th, 2021 and will continue until May 31, 2022.
