St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Confirmation

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is a strengthening of "baptismal grace" (CCC 1285) whereby one becomes a public witness of the Catholic faith. Confirmation is considered one of the sacraments of Christian initiation and ministered by the bishop. Confirmation preparation is important in helping the baptized understand the full meaning and gift of the graces received, particularly in relation to the Holy Spirit, so that they might be strengthened to go out and proclaim the good news.

Requirements

1) Parishioners who attend Sunday Mass (this is also a requirement for our program)

2) A copy of the Confirmand's Baptismal Certificate ready the 1st day of class
