OCIA

What is OCIA?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process of conversion whereby adults become full participating members of the Catholic Church through the sacraments of initiation. OCIA intends to instruct catechumenates both spiritually as well as intellectually. OCIA is for:

  • Those who have not been baptized or were baptized in other faith traditions and now feel called to become Catholic.
  • Adults or children older than 7 who were baptized Catholic but never received First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation.
  • Fully initiated Catholics seeking deeper catechetical knowledge of their Catholic Faith.
  • Anyone at all looking to learn more about Christianity

OCIA has begun for the 2023-2024 year.  For more information, or if you're interested in OCIA, contact Jenna Slotnick via phone (503-770-4791) or email ([email protected])
