From Msgr. O'Connor:

"Every two years we hold our Stewardship Drive to ask our parishioners to commit to a weekly donation which will cover the running costs of the Cathedral. Our hope is that this year we can increase our regular donations by 10%. In the coming weeks, all registered parishioners will receive a letter asking them to prayerfully consider their commitment to the Cathedral. If you are not a registered parishioner but consider the Cathedral your parish, please register and sign-up for ParishSoft Giving. Send me an email (goconnor@archdpdx.org) and I will personally arrange your registration and giving schedule. It is unfortunate that a small percentage of the parishioners keep the parish running with generous weekly donations when the majority of our attendees don’t even pay for their own share of the basic costs of running the parish, electricity, gas, minor repairs, security etc. Please consider where you stand in relation to the cost of this Cathedral. It would be great if we all took an interest in financial needs of our parish and not left it to the few. I don’t want to sound negative; I am very grateful to those who support us financially and spiritually, but it would be great if we could swell their numbers.
